A former coaching inn, built about 200 years ago, the Masons Arms is situated four miles from the historic market town of Alnwick near the beautiful Northumberland cosatline. The inn makes an ideal base from which to explore the untamed natural beauty and rich heritage of this area.

Tastefully extended and modernised throughout, the Masons Arms offers the quality and facilities expected by todays discerning guest.

We now offer seventeen ensuite bedrooms comprising a mixture of standard, deluxe and premier rooms, including two suites.

Access Statement

Car park is tarmac and gravel leading to an access ramp to main entrance at rear of premises. There is a small step up to bar area but we have a removable ramp if necessary.

Three rooms in the larger block are on the ground floor with direct access from the car park. All have small threshes to negotiate.

The toilets in the main building are situated just inside the rear entrance. The mens is fairly accessable although not designed for wheelchair access.

The ladies has a narrow door with a very small step down into it.

The main bar/restaurant area is on one level with a slight ramp down to further seating area.

There is extra seating in the lounge area which as a small step down to it.

Room one also has a ramp at the rear to the garden. All other ground floor rooms have a small step. It also has a seat in the shower and extra grab rails in the shower and bathroom.

The three first floor rooms are accessed by fairly steep outside stairs to balcony.

The stable block has a family and a single room on the ground floor accessed from the car park into a small vestibule. Again there is a small thresh.

There are also two first floor rooms each with their own outside staircase.
